The HK Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble was founded in 2018 by Ms Leonie Ki. The original intention of the orchestra is to promote and educate Dunhuang culture and art through music, and to bring back the scene music in the lost Dunhuang frescoes to the world.

The "A Dialogue between Dunhuang and the Palace Museum: Acroww 2000 Years of Chinese Cultural Heritage" is organized by the HK Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble in cooperation with the Hong Kong Palace Museum, as the opening program of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
